Gjorgji Spasov, one of the SDSM founders and great supporter of Branko's politics until 2005 made "miserable" Branko Crvenkovski's day last Saturday when, instead of making it the day when the party could impose itself in the media over the news about the Government's activities, Spasov showed himself on one of the most influential TV stations and started "pouring down" juicy statements in the sense that Branko, despite all his charisma, would not be able to imitate Nikola Gruevski as a leader, as well as that the SDSM was transforming itself into a centralist party in which there is no democracy. According to FORUM's sources, Crvenkovski has immediately called the TV station and asked for retaliation. Spasov, without "pardon," after being distanced from the party's leadership, from the position of a political analyst with leftist ideas, accused Crvenkovski of centralization of the SDSM last Saturday. "The worst of all stories is the one when you start imitating those that you want to defeat. Imitations are simply not possible. With all due respect for his rhetoric, leading abilities, and his charisma, it will be difficult for Crvenkovski to imitate with success Nikola Gruevski and he cannot distance himself for everything that he is blamed for by the SDSM," Spasov said almost at the same time while his former leader was promoting in the Universal Hall the changes in the Statute according to which the president of the party will be now approving all the personnel changes inside the SDSM including those on the local level.
